Nanoblading
Nanoblading: The Art of Precision Brows
Nanoblading is an advanced semi-permanent makeup technique that delivers natural, ultra-precise, and long-lasting eyebrows. It’s the perfect solution for enhancing the shape, fullness, and symmetry of your brows while maintaining a soft, natural appearance.
What is Nanoblading and how we do it at Beauty on Tilba?
Nanoblading is similar to microblading but uses a fine, flexible needle to create hair-like strokes with precision. Unlike traditional microblading, nanoblading allows for greater detail, making it ideal for clients who want more realistic, defined, and seamless brows.
How the Process Works:
1. Consultation(1 Hr):
- Before your session, we do test patch to make sure you’re not allergic to the pigment.
- Then we’ll discuss your desired brow shape, color, and style to ensure your new brows perfectly complement your facial features.
- We’ll analyze your natural brow structure and skin type to customize the procedure.
2. Brow Mapping:
- We use a meticulous mapping technique to design the ideal shape and symmetry for your brows.
- This step ensures that your new brows frame your face beautifully.
3. Color Matching:
- We select a pigment shade that matches your natural hair and skin tone, ensuring a subtle and natural result.
- For those with specific preferences, we offer a variety of organic and hybrid high-quality pigments.
4. Nanoblading Application:
- Nanoblading uses a hand-held tattoo machine tool and a single ultra-fine needle. The extremely fine needle draws hair-like strokes by opening up the skin and depositing semi-permanent pigment under it. The results would be natural, full-looking brows.
- The procedure is gentle and precise, with minimal discomfort. Use of numbing cream is personal preference. Numbing cream is provided by client before the procedure which will be discussed during consultation.
- This process takes a minimum of 2-3 hrs or even longer if required.
5. Aftercare:
- Post-procedure, we’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and color retention.
- You will have to return for a follow-up session(1 or 2 depending on how much depth we want to achieve) in about four to eight weeks, called the perfecting session, to achieve the finished look. This doesn’t mean your brows will look half-done; you will still walk away from your initial appointment with gorgeous brows.
How about the pain level ?
Nanoblading is generally well-tolerated, with most clients experiencing only mild discomfort during the procedure. Usually it can be done without numbing cream but to minimise any potential discomfort, a topical numbing cream is typically applied to the brow area before the procedure begins.
We ask that clients provide their own numbing cream for the procedure. We recommend consulting with your pharmacist to obtain an appropriate product and to ensure it is suitable for your skin type. Every part regarding use of numbing cream is discussed in consultation.
How Long Do the Results Last?
The upside of getting nano brows? It lasts pretty longer than micro brows. Though the time frame depends on pigment color, depth, the client’s skin, and other factors, it can last up to three years. Touch-ups are generally required once every year or two to keep your eyebrows looking fresh.
Healing for Eyebrow Nanoblading – What To Expect?
The healing process for nanoblading typically spans four to six weeks. Initially, your eyebrows may appear darker and more defined than anticipated, accompanied by mild redness and swelling. These symptoms usually diminish within two weeks.
As healing progresses, you might notice scabbing or flaking. It’s important to allow these scabs to shed naturally, which may begin around three days post-procedure. Avoid picking at them to ensure proper healing.
Throughout the healing period, it’s essential to follow aftercare instructions provided by your technician to achieve optimal results.

Nanoblading vs Microblading

First is with the tool used. In nano brows, artists use a very fine, single-needle tattoo machine, whilst in micro brows, they use a tool with several small needles. Nanoblading creates the finest hair stroke possible compared to microblading because the superfine needles allow more precision and controlled movement.
The pigment with nano-brows last longer. Nanoblading also is a little gentler to the skin, so it tends to cause less skin trauma and less scabbing and scarring.
